The income tax is a 20th-century socialist experiment that has failed. Before the income tax was imposed on us just 85 years ago, government had no claim to our income. Only sales, excise and tariff taxes were allowed. We need to return to the Constitution of economic liberty that our Founders intended to be a permanent bulwark of our political liberty. The income tax in effect makes us vassals of the government—the politicians decide how much income we can keep. No mere ‘reform’ of this slave tax, such as flattening the rate, can correct its fundamental denial of control over our own money.”

— Alan KeyesDavid Finlaysonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13777087169060713857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-246301260943127814.post-58877258845321312952008-04-23T08:44:00.000-05:002008-04-23T08:44:00.000-05:00we are an entitlement society and when you have th...we are an entitlement society and when you have that many people wanting to suckle at the government teat....well, it takes heaps of wampum to keep the milk flowing. Government is too big and too intrusive into our lives. I don't need governemnt telling me that I need to buckle up. Or those insane commercials that have to tell us that we as parents really should talk to our kids.
I feel like a misplace alien who has fallen to a planet full of snobs and elietest societal goobers, who know better than anyone else and whose sole duty is to "Change" our country. the thing that scares me is what they are wanting to change it too...
Sorry for the rant...
mbGreene Street Lettershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17247028715761319408noreply@blogger.com
