Kurt Russell as Sgt Fury

I had a little fun with PhotoShop tonight after the kids went to bed and between laundry loads. For those of you who remember...don't you think Kurt Russell would make a great Fury?

I don't know......
I think Leonardo DeCaprio would make a better SGT. Fury....
NOT!
Saddle up you bunch of misfits..time to roll.

Man, we were warped weren't we?
It's a wonder (according to today's psychologist) that we didn't all turn out to be homicidal murderer's.

Not Leonardo...he's in every other movie that comes out. I know, how about Ben AFLAC!

Tell you what, maybe DeCaprio could play original Howler Johnathan "Junior" Juniper who was killed at Pearl Harbor. Let's get him suited up at the first of the movie and then strafe him as soon as possible.

I can't be too hard on the guy. I did like him in The Departed. Dark movie but the best thing he's done recently. What's Eating Gilbert Grape was another roll in which he did a great job.

also-

I don't care what psycologist might say. I think things were a heck of a lot saner back then than they are today.

WAH-HOO!

Russell would make a good Sgt. Fury, although he'll always be Snake Pliskin to me.

Although he was just a bit insane, I thought Tom Beringer's character in Platoon had the 'combat nature' of Sgts. Fury or Rock -- but looks like neither!

Beringer is getting a little crusty but would have been an excellent candidate a decade or two ago. Russell's Snake Pliskin isn't too far off from Fury, he got down to business and never short of tough guy one-liners. Snake though was an anit-hero where Fury, is as red, white and blue as John Wayne. Kurt is getting older too...won't be long until he's too crusty to play Nick.

BTW, go rent John Carpenter's BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA. Crazy movie and a hoot to watch.

LOVED Big Trouble in Little China -- the little kid made the movie! I do need to rent it again, it's been years!
